PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device for trees and plants having a simple structure and a few number of parts, light in weight, and facilitated in various kinds of maintenance, having inexpensive cost as a device or a structure, realizing high efficiency in construction, facilitated in joining the devices to each other when a greening construction surface is slanted, and having high efficiency particularly in watering; and to provide a planting structure employing the planting device. SOLUTION: The planting device for trees and plants is installed mainly on the rooftop, the roof or the like of a building, and comprises a main body part provided with a first fixing means, and a second fixing means fixed to the installation surface of the main body part and joined to the first fixing means. The main body part has a drainage means, a water-holding means and the first fixing means at its bottom part, and is provided with a water-receiving means at its side wall. A space surrounded by the side walls is charged with soil so as to plant desired trees and plants in the soil. The planting structure is obtained by employing the device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
