PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has stabilized an electrification potential of a photoreceptor at the ends of a developer coating width and can suppress acceleration of chipping of the photoreceptor at the ends of an effective electrification width.SOLUTION: When the width of an area where a toner image on a photoreceptor can be formed in the rotation axis direction of the photoreceptor is an image area width A, the width of the photoreceptor irradiated with electricity eliminating light by an electricity eliminating device is a pre-exposure width B, the width in which a developing member carries a developer is a developer coating width C, and the width of the photoreceptor electrified by an electrification member is an effective electrification width D, an image forming apparatus 100 satisfies the relationship A≤C≤B≤D, where in the rotation axis direction of the photoreceptor, an area with a smaller width is included inside an area with a larger width, and both ends of areas with the same width are the same positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
