The two part (21,22) insole of the same structure has separate layers stuck to each other. One part (A) extends over the heel part. Between the two sole parts (21,22) is a further layer made of a thin sheet of wood whose fibres run across the lengthwise direction of the insole. The underneath covering layer in part of the sole is formed by a further thin wood sheet layer with fibres running in the lengthwise direction of the insole. The layer (2) of the top sole part (21), and the top covering layer (11) of the bottom sole part rest on top of each other without being stuck. The top covering layer (1) of the top sole part, in the central ball part of the foot has a grid of holes (16) penetrating the sheet of wood. USE/ADVANTAGE - The comfortable insole supports the foot, is durable and gives good thermal insulation even in damp and or cold conditions.
