The present invention relates to a power control apparatus of an electric stove having a plurality of heaters, comprising: a plurality of half-wave selection applying unit which selectively performs half-wave rectification of alternating currents supplied from a power unit, and selectively applies a half-wave power to each of the heaters; and a control unit which when the total power consumption of operating heaters among the heaters surpasses an allowable power consumption, controls the half-wave selection applying unit corresponding to apply the half-wave power to at least one heater among the operating heaters, thereby decreasing the total power consumption to be equal to the allowable power consumption or less than the same. According to the present invention, the apparatus can control the total power consumption of the operating heaters to be equal to or less than the allowable power consumption, improve the stability and efficiency of power control, and remarkably extend a lifespan of a device. |
