PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator which can efficiently transmits the vibration of a piezoelectric element to an object to be driven and can be manufactured easily and the thickness of which can be reduced, a method for manufacturing the actuator, and a timepiece using the actuator. SOLUTION: An elastic section which vibrates following the vibration of a piezoelectric element 2a and stator section 12 which transmits the vibration of the elastic section to a rotor 100 of a piezoelectric actuator are integrally constituted by machining one plate-like member. Therefore, the constitution of the actuator becomes very simple, and the manufacture of the actuator also becomes easier. In addition, since the stator 12 is excited at a frequency, which is nearly equal to the characteristic frequency of the stator section 12, the internal loss of the stator section 12 can be reduced drastically. Since the actuator is constituted in a planar shape, the thickness of the calendar displaying mechanism of a wrist watch can be reduced. |
