PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which exhibits excellent recording density and the conservability of a recorded part and besides, is almost free from a texture fogging. SOLUTION: This thermal recording medium has a recording layer containing a leuco dye, a coloring agent and a sensitizer, formed on a substrate. In this case, 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone is added as the coloring agent to the recording layer and further, an amide stearate, a 1,2-diphenoxyethane, or a 1,2-di(3- methylphenoxyl)ethane are added as the sensitizer. In addition, the weight ratio of stearic acid amide and the 1,2-diphenoxyethane or 1,2-di(3-methylphenoxy) ethane is set to be (1:3)-(3:1). |
