PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for electric power in which the position of a main electrode is fixed to a case provided enclosing an insulating board or the like mounted with a semiconductor chip with respect to the semiconductor device for electric power capable of highly precisely and easily fixing the main electrode to a predetermined position. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device for electric power has the semiconductor chip, the case enclosing the semiconductor chip, the main electrode electrically connected to the semiconductor chip, and a projection portion formed on a wall surface of the case or a wall surface of a member fitted to the case, where the projection has an arrow-width portion formed to a narrow width and a wide-width portion formed wider than the narrow-width portion more apart from the place where the projection portion is supported than from the narrow-width portion, and is made of an elastic material, and the main electrode is fixed to be partially covered with the narrow-width portion and wide-width portion.
