PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal and a control method therefor, capable of causing a CPU to be a suspension state while continuously monitoring the occurrence of an event through communication with a base station.SOLUTION: An FPGA 11 includes: a communication quality determination unit 111 which monitors the occurrence of an event during speech communication operation, on the basis of communication quality with the base station; and an instruction determination unit 112 which monitors the occurrence of an event, on the basis of a control message transmitted from the base station. The CPU 12 is set to be a sleep mode during the speech communication operation. When the occurrence of an event is determined in the FPGA 11, a changeover is made from the sleep mode to a normal mode. by an interruption signal transmitted from the FPGA 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
