<p>PURPOSE:To switch an operation between a synchronous motor operation mode and a synchronous generator operation mode safely by a method wherein a means which obtains an AC power supply from a synchronous motor exciting winding provided on the secondary side of a static starter input transformer, a means which converts the obtained AC power supply into a DC power supply and a means which controls a generator exciting field breaker and a synchronous motor exciting field breaker which are interlocked with each other are provided. CONSTITUTION:The input power supply of a synchronous motor is composed of a static starter input transformer 8 and a converter 9 which converts the input power supply to an arbitrary AC power supply. The exciter of the synchronous motor is composed of a synchronous motor exciting winding 10 which is so provided as to supply a necessary power for the synchronous motor from the secondary side of the static starter input transformer 8, a synchronous motor exciting rectifier 11 and a synchronous motor exciting field breaker 12 which is interlocked with a generator exciting field breaker 7 so as to facilitate automatic switching of an operation between a synchronous motor operation mode and a generator operation mode to operate the machine as the synchronous motor.</p> |
