The axle has a two-part drive shaft with connecting joint of joint fork and joint shaft, and a securing ring (8). The joint shaft has an axial recess (10) on the inside, extending from the front end to the area of the securing ring, and an integral closed outer circumference. The joint shaft is turnably held in the axle body of the joint housing via plain bearing bush, which engages on it with its complete inner surface. The securing ring has radial outward directed baffle sections (13), which are shorter than the wall thickness of the joint shaft.
