<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic stalk switch having a longer life to solve the problem that the contacts in conventional stalk switches tend to easily wear, shortening the life of the switches, because the ON/OFF switching by an operation lever depends on mechanical contacts in the conventional stalk switches. SOLUTION: A first output of a magnetism detection element 8 is obtained when an operational lever 2 is in the neutral position. A second and a third output, both preset, are the first threshold on the maximum output and the second threshold on the minimum output, respectively, wherein the second output is between the first output and the maximum output, and the third output is between the first output and the minimum output, the second and the third outputs different from respective first, maximum, and minimum. The first and the second thresholds are used for detecting the position of the operational lever when it is operated to be inclined.</p> |
