PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a balcony as a passage when needed in renewal work etc. SOLUTION: This partition device 1 for the balcony is arranged, as shown in Fig., in a boundary section between the neigh boring house in the balcony 50 of an apartment house, a partition device 1 comprises an attachment/detachment member 2 with an opening 2a, and an opening/closing member 3 capable of opening/closing the opening 2a. This enables the balcony to be utilized as the working passage by putting the opening 2a into an opened state, when needed in the renewal work etc. Thus, since a scaffold does not have to be installed/removed as ever, that can reduce construction costs and shorten a construction period.
