PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform power supply suitable for operation modes of individual transfer means in supplying a power to the transfer means by using a common power source.SOLUTION: Power supply paths 42Y, 42M, 42C, and 42K are connected to a common power source. During color printing, power supply paths 42Y, 42M, and 42C are in contact with spring members 44Y, 44M, and 44C, and a power is supplied to primary transfer rollers 5Y, 5M, and 5C from the common power source through the power supply paths 42Y, 42M, and 42C and spring members 44Y, 44M, and 44C. During monochrome printing, a movable housing 40 rotates to move the primary transfer rollers 5Y, 5M, and 5C in a direction to separate from photoreceptors 1Y, 1M, and 1C. The spring members 44Y, 44M, and 44C are separated from the power supply paths 42Y, 42M, and 42C in conjunction with the movement, so as to shut down the supply of a power to the primary transfer rollers 5Y, 5M, and 5C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
