The electromagnetic vibrator forming the subject of the invention is of the type including a stator 3 provided with an AC winding carried by two pairs of salient poles arranged symmetrically around a circumference, and an armature with salient poles 7 whose pole pitch is that of the stator 3, and is characterised in that the poles of the armature 7 are offset in pairs by a value equal to half the length of a pole and oppositely directed with respect to the axis of symmetry.
