<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact gaze detection system which allows the movement of the head of a user, has detection precision as to a gaze and its direction, and also has a fast detection speed. SOLUTION: This gaze detection system is equipped with a display device 1 and an image pickup device 2 with an automatic focusing function which is provided at a distance from the eyeball part of the user 3. Then the center E of the pupil of the user 3 and the positions of featured points on the face are found from image pickup data obtained by the image pickup device 2 and the found position data are converted into the gaze direction to calculate the user's gaze point P.</p> |
