A liquid ejection device has a portable liquid ejection unit (10) capable of performing, singly by itself, operation of liquid ejection to an object and has a stationary unit (100) to which the liquid ejection unit (10) is installed and removably integrated. The liquid ejection unit (10) has a liquid ejection head (12) for ejecting liquid toward the object; a liquid container (14) including a space for containing the liquid fed to the liquid ejection head (12). The stationary unit (100) has a liquid tank (101) for containing the liquid fed to the liquid ejection head (12). The liquid ejection device further has a liquid tank connection means (105) making the liquid tank (101) and the liquid ejection head (12) communicatable when the liquid ejection unit (10) is integrated with the stationary unit (100). The liquid ejection device enables mass printing and is portable as required, thus satisfying the two needs at the same time.
