PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a density calibration chart capable of securing sufficient time period for cooling a thermal head and eliminating the need for widening the interval of patches by printing color patches in a staggered arrangement. SOLUTION: Printed color patches are turned into a staggered arrangement. For instance, for this density calibration chart, densities 100% to 0% are indicated by 256 gradations for respective colors YMCK and 32 gradations among them are recorded in the color patches. The color patches constitute two left and right columns for the respective colors, and recording is performed from 100% density to 0% density in a density order, by alternately using the two patches on the left and right. Also, by storing a program for printing such color patches in the staggered arrangement in two columns without intervals in a density calibration table 3043 inside a color printer 30, the color printer 30 automatically prints the density calibration chart of the staggered arrangement. |
