PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AZOLYL-PHENOXY-TETRAHYDROFURAN-2-YLIDENE-METHANES WITH ANTIMYCOTIC EFFECT AND THEIR USE FOR THE PREPARATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS HAVING AN ANTIMYCO-TIC EFFECT

Azolyl phenoxytetrahydrofuran- 2-ylidene methane derivs. of formula (I) and their physiologically acceptable acid addn. salts are new (A is N or CH; R is opt. substd. phenyl). (I) are antimicrobials esp. antireycotics and are esp. effective against dermalphytes, budding fungi and biphasic fungi e.g. candida spp. Epidermophyton opp. Aspergillus spp Trichophyton opp. Microsporon spp. and Torulopsis spp. (I) can therefore be used in medicine to treat dermatomycoses and systemic mycoses caused by these organisms. Suitable daily doses are 10-300 esp. 50-200 mg/kg. 3 cpds. (I) are specifically claimed, i.e. (4-chlorophenoxy)-(4-fluorophenoxy)- and (2,4-dichlorophenoxy) (imidazol-1-yl) 3,3-dimethyl-tetrahydrofuran 2-ylidene-methane.
