PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium which shows outstanding erasing properties and image retention properties and a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium which is highly durable without the generation of a dent in the medium, even when the medium is repeatedly used. SOLUTION: In the reversible heat-sensitive recording medium comprising a reversible heat-sensitive recording layer, containing a reversible heat-sensitive composition, which forms a state in which colors are relatively developed due to the difference in heating temperature and/or cooling velocity after heating, with an electron-donative coloring compound and an electron-receptive compound used on a support, a chemical compound represented by formula [1] is characteristically used as a decolorization promoter in the reversibly heat-sensitive recording layer. R1-X-(CH2)n-A [1] (n is an integer of 7 or over; A is an amide group represented by formula (II); X is an associative group and; R1 is an alkyl group). (R2, R3 are each a hydrocarbon group). |
