摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device, which can surely start up. SOLUTION: A capacitor C4 for cutting DC and a capacitor 6 for resonance are charged by turning on a first field effects transistor Q1. Electric charge of the capacitor C4 for cutting DC is discharged by closing a circuit of a parasitic diode comprising the first field effects transistor Q1, a resistor R3, an inductor L3 for resonance, a resistor R2 and the capacitor 4 for cutting DC. Voltage applied to the gates of the first and the second field effects transistors Q1 and Q2 are reversed each other. An inverter circuit 34 is surely started by turning on or off the first and the second field effects transistors Q1 and Q2, respectively. A high frequency voltage is applied to a light emitting tube 4, by alternately turning on and off the first and the second field effects transistors Q1 and Q2. The light emitting tube 4 is started up and lighted on when the resonance voltage flowing through a capacitor 5 is raised to a predetermined value or higher.
