<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing electrolytic iron having excellent surface smoothness, when iron is electrolytically obtained from an electrolytic starting solution composed of an iron chloride aqueous solution comprising impurity elements, by controlling the surface smoothness of electrolytic iron. <P>SOLUTION: When iron is electrolytically obtained from an electrolytic starting solution composed of an iron chloride aqueous solution containing impurity elements, by performing the following steps (1) to (4), the surface smoothness of electrolytic iron is controlled; wherein, (1) a step where a sample solution is sampled from the electrolytic starting solution, and is charged into a Hull cell; (2) a step where the Hull cell is energized for 5 to 60 min, so as to form an electrodeposited product on the cathode of the Hull cell; (3) a step where the electrodeposition state of the electrodeposited product at the part in which the current density equivalents to the range of 200 to 600 A/m<SP>2</SP>on the cathode of the Hull cell is inspected, and whether natural peeling caused by stress is generated or not is judged; and a step (4) where the concentration of impurity elements in the electrolytic starting solution is regulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
