PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a disconnection point between solar cell modules.
SOLUTION: In a first connection mode, one electrode of a first solar cell module 4 is connected to one input terminal of an LCR meter 9, and the other electrode is connected to an electrode, having the same polarity as one electrode, of an adjoining second solar cell module 4, being sequentially connected, in the same manner, down to the electrode of the same polarity as one electrode of an n-th solar cell module 4. The electrode having the same polarity as the other electrode is acted as an open end. All the solar cell modules are installed on one metal stage 11 connected to the earth, with the other input terminal of the LCR meter 9 being grounded. In a second connection mode, adjoining some solar cell modules 4 in the first connection mode are disconnected from each other. The first and second connection modes are arranged outdoors. Assuming electrostatic capacitances detected with the LCR meter 9 in first and second connection modes to be Cd and Cx, the number of solar cell modules down to a disconnection point is known with (Cx/Cd)×n, where n is an arbitrary integer of 2 or larger.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
