PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a legged mobile robot configured to take an image of a target with an appropriate brightness value even if a highly bright light source such as solar light comes into a mounted camera (imaging element). SOLUTION: A filter (visor) 16c movable between a position on an axial line 82b of light incident from surroundings including the target and a position 16c1 off from the axial line is provided on a head 16. In addition, when an imaged region with high brightness imaged by the highly bright incident light is present on an image taken by a CCD camera (imaging element), the filter 16c is moved to the position on the axial line to reduce the brightness of the highly bright imaged region.
