PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn mower capable of sending mown grass with reduced loss when sending the mown grass from a chute to a grass container, and improved in grass collecting efficiency. SOLUTION: The lawn mower includes a mower 22 for mowing lawn, a collector 18 for storing mown grass, and the chute 51 as the mown grass path between the mower 22 and the collector 18. A bottom surface 52 of a chute 51 of the lawn mower is constituted by a front part bottom surface 52a and a rear part bottom surface 52b, which adjoin to each other and are composed to be vertically turnable with the rear end of each bottom surface (52a, 52b) of the front part bottom surface 52a and the rear part bottom surface 52b as the fulcrums, and includes a turning mechanism in which after the front part bottom surface 52a starts turning, the rear part bottom surface 52b tardily starts turning. As the front part bottom surface 52a operates prior to the rear part bottom surface 52b, spilt mown grass or returned mown grass, which is caused by turning operation of the bottom plates (52a, 52b), are improved, so that a grass collection loss is prevented and grass collecting work efficiency is increased.
