The damper bar (2) seizes the sheet of paper from a manipulator (3) and guides it under the guiding bar (5). As damper bar is fastened to the guiding bar, any relative movement between (5) and (2) in the forwarding direction of the paper sheet must be compensated. For this purpose the damper bar has grooves (4) and a certain amount of play at the fastening points to (5). A guide plate (1) engages with this groove. ADVANTAGE - For parallel displacement of a damper bar under the forwarding and alignment table of a U-shaped folding machine. Permits the processing of different paper formats. The aim is to achieve easy action of the guiding bar (5) during diagonal displacement in order to adjust to the paper sheet format being processed.
