PURPOSE: A reflection-type liquid crystal display, which disperses and diffuses reflected light without having an additional diffusion plate, is provided to prevent deterioration in contrast and luminance caused by the diffusion plate and to reduce manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A reflection-type liquid crystal display device includes the first substrate(30) on which a polarizer is arranged, the second substrate(32) disposed in parallel with the first substrate, and the first electrode(34) formed on a surface of the first substrate that faces the second substrate. The device further has a reflection film(36) formed on a surface of the second substrate that faces the first substrate, and an asperity layer(37) that has microscopic grains for increasing reflection efficiency of light reflected through the reflection film and is formed on the reflection film. The device also has the second electrode(40) formed on the asperity layer, and a liquid crystal layer(46) filled between the first and second electrodes.
