The present invention relates to a water-based adhesive composition for a polarizing plate and a polarizing plate using the same and, more specifically, to a water-based adhesive composition for a polarizing plate which can prevent the reduction of optical properties and durability and improves adhesion (adhesion durability) by comprising a water-based binder resin (A) and a cross-linking agent (B) where ammonium, a pyridinium cation and an iodide anion are combined, and to a polarizing plate using the same.
