PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device having a light diffusion sheet capable of preventing formation of images of light emitting diodes while preventing degradation in illuminance over the entire part of a liquid crystal screen and suppressing a manufacturing cost and a light source. SOLUTION: The device for illuminating the liquid crystal screen is constituted to include the light diffusion sheet 1 and the light source 31. A first diffusion section 3 is formed on the front side surface of the light diffusion sheet 1 and a second diffusion section 4 is formed on the rear surface side. At least one of the first diffusion section 3 and the second diffusion section 4 is formed to an emboss shape.
