A throttle is inserted in the throttle valve (8) in the brake line (6) during brake slip control. Two pumps (12, 13) feed hydraulic fluid through the throttle to the wheel brake. The valve has a first switching position, for an unthrottled, and a second position, for a throttled connection, between wheel brake and main brake cylinder. The throttle valve is connected via a control line (19) to the outlet of the pump (13), so that the pressure at the outlet moves the valve from the first into the second switching position.
