A gp. of opening sectors, in an opening process, is movable by an opening member from its closure position in which it completely covers the lens aperture to where it opens out to lowest of number. A gp. of closure sectors, in a closing process, is movable by a closing member from its position leaving the aperture fully open to a completely covering position. Each opening and closing member has its own drive. These drives (16, 17) are in the form of springs. A shutter release mechanism activating these drives has an adjuster (32) which, according to its setting, activates the drive for the closing member (6) after a selectable delay following the opening proces of the opening sectors (8). The opening member (5) has an arresting projection engageable by an arresting latch (21). The latter carries an armature of an opening magnet (22). ADVANTAGE - Allows matching of shortest exposure times to selected smallest aperture settings.
