NON-WOVEN MATERIAL FOR FILTRATION OF SUSPENSIONS

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: this material is primarily intended for use in plate-and-frame pressure filters for filtration of suspensions in hydrometallurgical production of vanadium pentoxide. Material has inlet layer and outlet layer made of mixture of polypropylene fibres with polyester fibres. Located between aforesaid layer is framework fabric made of polyester threads. Fibrous layers and framework fabric are fixed to each other by needle punching and thermal fixing. Inlet fibrous layer is produced of fibres which are equal in thickness to thickness of fibres in outlet layer, or inlet fibrous layer contains more thick fibres than outlet fibrous layer. Possible to locate between inlet fibrous layer and framework fabric is additional fibrous layer made of hollow siliconized polyester fibres. Aforesaid structure of non-woven material ensures increased dirt-reception and prolonged service life of filtration material at wide range of sizes of particles in suspension being filtered.
