PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discoloration inhibitor for an ink jet recording sheet for holding a color of an initially printed character or image to all times by preventing aging discoloring or fading due to exposure of the color of the character or image printed on a conventional ink jet recording sheet with ozone gas in the atmosphere and having good storage stability. SOLUTION: The gas discoloration inhibitor for the ink jet recording sheet comprises a reactant obtained by reacting a dicyandiamide, polyalkylenepolyamine and ammonium salt or acid or a reactant obtained by reacting a dicyandiamide, polyalkylenepolyamine, urea and an ammonium salt or acid of 0.01 to 20 wt.% to the ink jet recording sheet. |
