PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify two or more kinds of image forming apparatuses into groups based on their specifications and to easily sort fixing rollers, when the fixing roller is transferred and used in another image forming apparatus whose service limit is gentle. SOLUTION: The group to which the image forming apparatus 100 belongs is decided, according to the information stored in an information storage device 126. If the decided group is a group showing that the service limit of the image forming apparatus is the gentlest, there exists no group of the image forming apparatus in which the collected fixing roller 104 is transferred and used, so that the fixing roller 104 is disposed to be discarded. In other words, at such a time, the fixing roller 104 itself reaches the end of its lifetime, so that it can not be reused as it keeps its original form but can be reused after it is restored to the raw materials. Meanwhile, if the decided group is not the group showing that the service limit of the image forming apparatus is the gentlest, the group (GB or GC) of the image forming apparatus in which the fixing roller 104 is transferred and used is determined and the fixing roller 104 is sorted.
