PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection method for a power storage device capable of protecting the power storage device by preventing a cap from being dropped from an electrode terminal even if sizes of the electrode terminal and a recess of the cap are differently varied, and the power storage device to which the protection method is applied.SOLUTION: The protection method for the power storage device includes the steps of: preparing a cap including a recess in which an electrode terminal can be accommodated, and a cylindrical elastic spacer; covering the electrode terminal with the cylindrical elastic spacer in such a manner that an outer peripheral surface of the electrode terminal is surrounded; and covering the electrode terminal in which the elastic spacer is mounted with the recess of the cap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
