PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doherty amplifier capable of achieving a frequency characteristic highly efficient in a wide band.SOLUTION: The doherty amplifier, including: a main amplifier 2 that always operates when an input signal is supplied and that amplifies the input signal; a peak amplifier 3 that operates when an input signal is larger than a predetermined level and that amplifies the input signal; a load section 5 that synthesizes an output of the main amplifier with an output of the peak amplifier for output; and a 1/4 wavelength transmission line 4 that is connected between the main amplifier 2 and the load section 5 and corresponds to a 1/4 wavelength of an input signal, further includes a 1/2 wavelength transmission line 6 that is connected between the peak amplifier 3 and the load section 5 and that corresponds to a 1/2 wavelength of an input signal. |
