Provided is a contrast agent, whereby it becomes possible to reduce the incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy appropriately. The contrast agent is used in such a manner that the contrast agent is administered to a human body while administering oxygen to the human body at least during the administration of the contrast agent. The administration of oxygen is initiated 15 to 20 minutes before the administration of the contrast agent. The administration of oxygen is carried out through the nose or using a mask at a rate of 1.5 to 4.0 L/min. The contrast agent is, for example, a nonionic iodine contrast agent or an ionic iodine contrast agent. At least during the administration of the contrast agent, 0.9 wt% physiological saline is also administered. |
