PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nutrient beverage or jelly which (a) has a dietetically high value, (b) is simply prepared and administered or taken, (c) does not irritate the intestinal tract regarding osmotic pressure, (d) is readily digestible and absorbable and is not a considerable burden on the digestive tract, (e) has transparency, low-viscosity and dryness and is readily taken and (f) has a good taste free from a fat smell. SOLUTION: This nutrient beverage or jelly is characterized in that the beverage or jelly comprises (a) a saccharide, (b) a protein, peptide or amino acid and (c) an electrolyte, does not substantially contain a fat and has 90-100 amino acid score and 50-180 NPC/N value. |
