PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerization catalyst capable of obtaining polyolefin having high stereoregularity and wide molecular weight distribution in higher activity than conventional catalyst. SOLUTION: The catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising (A) a solid titanium catalyst component obtained by bringing (a) a liquid magnesium compound, (b) a liquid titanium compound, and (c) an electron donor into contact with (d) a divalent solid metal halide, (B) an organic aluminum compound and (C) an organic silicone compound having a cyclic amino group and at least one 1 to 10C alkoxy group, is used.
