PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to form stepped difference elements such as bumps, grooves or concave-convex portions below cholesteric liquid crystal color filters, thereby keeping the thickness of the color filters uniformly according to the observing angles and preventing the color shift due to the increase of the viewing angle. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate(110) having round stepped-difference elements(121) on a top surface, cholesteric liquid crystal color filters(122a-122f) formed on the first substrate for realizing red, green and blue colors per pixel area, first electrode(111) formed on the cholesteric liquid crystal color filters, a second substrate(120) apart from the first substrate by a predetermined distance, second electrodes(123) formed at a lower surface of the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer(130) implanted between the first and second electrodes. |
