PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the press capable of reducing a slide weight and easily adjusting a die height. SOLUTION: In the press in which a die height is made adjustable by a worm 8a mounted to a slide 5 and a worm wheel 8b (die height adjusting gear) screwed to a plunger 6, the abutting force at the abutting part between the die height adjusting gear 8b and slide 5 is mitigated by the pneumatic pressure of a pneumatic cylinder 10 or the elastic member which are formed to the plunger 6 so as to make the die height adjusting gear 8b easy to rotate.
