PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure for a piston and a connecting rod that is suitable for a simple structure, high reliability and high efficiency.SOLUTION: A hermetic type compressor is provided that comprises: a closed vessel stored with a compression element having a cylinder and a piston, and an electrically driving element having a stator and a rotor; a shaft fixed to the rotor; a crank pin arranged at a position eccentric from a center of rotation of the shaft; and a connecting rod connecting the crank pin and the piston together. The piston and the connecting rod are connected together using a ball-joint mechanism comprised of an inner spherical surface provided in the piston and a substantial ball member provided in the connecting rod and wrapped by the inner spherical surface, and the substantial ball member is made hollow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
