PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and convenience in scroll and unit change for destination setting. SOLUTION: A point C on a map displayed on a screen is touched (a) with a finger. If the finger is kept touched for, for example, 0.5 second without movement, a pop-up menu 7 is displayed in inversion at the side of point C as a number ('1') corresponding to a scale level in display (b). Then, a finger is slid without releasing a touch panel 6, to select a scale level ('3') displayed on the pop-up menu 7 (c). A car navigation system displays, in response to the demand, a point D of a desired scale level (d), here, the point D which is the center of a screen is equal to the point C in latitude and longitude in (a). Thus, a user can operate scrolling and scale changing with ease and accuracy. |
