Needle valve used in carburetor for IC engine

The valve has a needle (420) consisting of a shaft part (422) and a separate precision-cast head part (424). The head part has a flange to support a spring (426), a notched profile sector and a tooth engaging section for the cap. A chamber (440) receives the end (436) of the shaft part, fixing the head and shaft parts together. The shaft end is a press fit in the chamber of the head part. The chamber can have a bayonet lock to connect the parts, loaded by the spring.
