Shaped articles having the geometry of bones or parts of bones, formed from optionally mineralized collagen in the form of a dense network of fibrils (optionally embedded in a matrix of calcium phosphate cement), are formed as hollow bodies. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of the articles.
