摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the detecting accuracy of a fading point, by finding the number of straight liens which takes a frequency larger than a threshold value from a histogram generated by the updating of an angular frequency corresponding to the angle of the straight line when a difference between the angle of the straight line connecting a fading point candidate point to an edge constituting point and an edge inclination, is smaller than a prescribed threshold value, as a straight line accumulating image. CONSTITUTION:The edge constituting point and the edge inclination at the edge constituting point are extracted from an image image-picked up at an image pickup part 201 by an edge extracting means 101, and it is decided whether the difference between the angle of the straight line connecting the edge constituting point extracted by a frequency generating mean 102 to the edge inclination is smaller than the prescribed threshold value. When the former is smaller than the later, the angle frequency corresponding to the angle of the straight line is updated, then the histogram is generated, and the main body of the straight line which takes the frequency larger than the prescribed threshold value is found from the histogram by a straight line number detecting means 103 as the straight line number accumulating image, and the fading point is detected from the straight line number accumulating image by a fading point detecting means 104. In such way, it is possible to improve the accuracy of fading point detection.
