PURPOSE:To make a camera or a flash device have interchangeability by providing control terminals in a new type camera and a new type flash device and constituting them so that they become in action modes by judging the existence of the change of voltage in the control terminal caused at the time of connecting them. CONSTITUTION:The control terminals C and Co are provided in the new type camera 11 and the new type flash device 10 as one of the respective terminals which electrically connect them and feeding means 30 for causing the change of voltage with the connection of both of them is provided too. If the flash device 10 is linked with the camera 11, the new type camera 11 becomes in a 1st action mode if the change of voltage is caused in the control terminal C and it becomes in a 2nd action mode corresponding to an old type flash device when the change of voltage is not caused. In the same way, the new type flash device 10 becomes in the 1st and the 2nd action modes corresponding to the new type camera 11 or the old type camera linked with the device 10. Thus, the new type camera 11 can be used for the new type and the old type flash devices and also the new type flash device 10 can be used for the new type and the old type cameras. |
