Pipe hanger bracket in two closably joined halves by screws

The bracket locking device (18) is integrated with the other bracket half strap (12) and has a hole (26) for the locking screw (22) as well as a resilient latching pawl (28) used to press onto the screw and engage the screw thread. Both strap halves (12,14) of the bracket are punched from sheet to form flexural components and the screw hole stands in a bar piece projecting integrally out of the strap half, with the latching pawl (28) bent round off the bar. The pawl has its own threaded segment and the one half is bent out to give an integrated fixer bow (34), complete with tapped hole for e.g. wall anchors etc. In detail, both bracket halves have integral side bars (16,18) and are possibly lined on the concave side in rubber or plastics. Bars (16) are holed (20) for the screw etc (22) and the opposing bracket half (14) is fitted with a rubber safety washer (24) holding the screw aligned prior to hole engagement.
