PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain, in an image forming device using an intermediate transfer body, optimum fixing capability even in the case where fixing temperature decreases due to various factors, when printing is consecutively carried out on more than ten sheets of paper or several dozen sheets of paper. SOLUTION: The image forming device using the intermediate transfer body is characterized in that a transfer material is fed to the position of a resist roller, and a fixing condition when the transfer material reaches a fixing device with a loop made in the transfer material is predicted, thereby judging whether fixing is possible or not. When fixing is in possible, the intermediate transfer body is idly rotated as it is, and the transfer material is put in a stand-by condition at the position of the resist roller. At a point in time that fixing becomes possible, the image is secondarily transferred and fixed with timing that allows the transfer of the image to the surface of the transfer. When fixing is possible, image forming control is continued. |
