<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating organic waste capable of suppressing generation of malodor, not generating environment pollution, forming environment wherein microorganisms are able to treat the organic waste in good condition and to manufacture a lot of high quality compost in a short period. SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating organic waste is provided with a hermetically closed structure fermentation tank 2 wherein a fermentation treatment is performed by charging a mixture 4 agitated and mixed of return materials of the organic waste treated by microorganisms with green base materials of the organic waste to be processed, and a semi-closed system air supply and discharge circulation mechanism 3 wherein, after the organic waste is fermented by supplying air into the fermentation tank 2, gas generated by fermentation is exhausted, a part of the exhausted gas is treated for deodorizing, and the residual gas together with the introduced air are sent to the fermentation tank 2.</p> |
