PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch, an optical surface mounted component and an optical transmission device at a low cost. SOLUTION: A front end face 32 on the side opposite to an optical element 10 of a first optical waveguide 30 is inclined in such degree that optical path conversion is possible. The first optical waveguide 30 has a first connection part 34 for optical connection to the outside in the side face. The first connection part 34 is moved along the axis of the first optical waveguide 30 according as a platform 20 is moved by an actuator 50. A second optical waveguide 40 has a second connection part 44 for optical connection to the outside. The second connection part 44 is placed within the range of movement of the first connection part 34.
